SOLD: Diamond flower clip earrings, circa 1950
$3,216.00
Out of stock
Glamorous earrings in the 1950s often swept up the ear, as here.
This was a radical departure from centuries of long ear pendants.
Hairstyles, whether short or long, exposed most of the ear, making this an appropriate fashion.
Rounded lines and floral motifs were back in fashion, Art Deco geometry out. Think Dior and the New Look.
These pretty flower and leaf clips would look marvellous on many women, including older ones. Ear lobes can lengthen with age, so a style covering them can be a smart move.
The diamonds are very white too, and sparkle beautifully when worn.
