Here’s another great chunky late Victorian diamond and 18-carat yellow gold English knot ring.

I buy every good one I can if the price is right – meaning I can then offer them at a good price to you.

They work so well as everyday rings with jewellery from virtually any period.

Here three white and bright old cut diamonds sit in individual lozenges atop an endless knot with banded shoulders. The artfully twisted thick gold wire extends into a solid wide gold band.

I love the no-fuss design, a mark of quality English antique jewellery.


• Handmade in 18-carat yellow gold – there is a rubbed Chester hallmark
• Old round brilliant cut diamond at centre estimated at 0.06 carats, graded set as H/SI
• Two old round brilliant cut diamonds on sides estimated to total 0.05 carats, graded set as H/SI
• Comes with an independent insurance valuation for $5,450
• Size approximately 6 1/4 or M – it could be resized
• Weight is 7.6 grams
• In excellent antique condition
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (my antique boxes are not for sale)
