“May your cup runneth over” came into my head when I found this whimsical three-colour 12-carat gold fob featuring a tilted goblet.

The main body and chain are yellow gold with rose and green gold highlights.

The dog clip is 15-carat gold but it may still be original. It’s well matched in colour and size, and these late 19th century English fob ornaments often have a mixture of gold alloys and purities.

And the slide works smoothly and firmly to offer variety in the ways this can be worn.
