SOLD: Victorian gold signet ring, circa 1900
$1,206.00
Out of stock
VIRTUTE ET LABORE – “With strength and hard work” – is the motto on this late Victorian 18-carat gold signet ring.
The fine engraving also depicts an armoured arm holding a spear – symbols of leadership, power, courage, decisiveness and achievement.
Inside are engraved the initials A.M.M. and N.B.F. and what looks like the word May or Mary. There is also a rubbed 18ct mark.
It’s a lovely example of a signet ring – weighty and substantial.
