Here’s a very nice quality Victorian fob in 15-carat gold, set with a carnelian seal bearing the initials H W in old English script.
The pie crust setting has a scalloped base and rises in thick licks of alternating concave and convex ribs to the midsection, where it meets a dished double loop with richly engraved sides.
The extra thick top ring has had a generous amount of gold bestowed in the making, just like the rest of this appealing seal from about 1880.
