Here’s a good quality pair of antique 18-carat gold engraved cufflinks.

Bearing the Scottish Logan crest of a heart pierced by a nail and the initials DL, they are also stamped for the maker Hardy Brothers.

This company was one of the pre-eminent Australian jewellers about 1900, when these were probably made.

The buttery yellow gold retains its original matte gold surface.
