Ask a question

A big juicy cabochon garnet shines brightly from the middle of this English 15-carat gold oval pendant from about 1880.

A border of tiny white cloisonné enamel ovals radiates from the central stone.

Further decoration comes from the applied gold balls around the sides, and granulation and rope work detailing.

As is typical of these pendants, the back features a locket compartment to keep safe a lock of hair or a picture.

And the unusually large top loop is a bonus for those who like to wear thicker chains.
