Ask a question

Here’s a lovely three-stone diamond ring that features a clean, white and very lively central old European cut, weighing about 0.87 carats

It’s flanked by good accent old European cut diamonds of about 0.15 carats each on either side.

Many old cut diamonds were cut to maximise their weight at the expense of light play. Lively ones, like this, are well-proportioned so they reflect and refract the light back.

The handcrafted platinum setting has the typical fine crown appearance from the side that is seen in many of these early 20th century rings.

This ring is low set – again typical of the era – and it could be worn with care every day.
