I’m pleased to be able to offer another good-quality vintage three-stone diamond ring from about 1930.

These early 20th century examples are increasingly hard to find.

White, bright and lively early modern cut diamonds feature here in a handcrafted 18-carat yellow gold and palladium pierced setting.

The proportions are pleasing, with the centre half-carat diamond flanked by two roughly half its size.

Diamond cutting evolved gradually during the late 19th and first half of the 20th century.

Transitional cuts such as these here come between modern and old European cut brilliants. They are very appealing, being more reflective than old Europeans and more refractive than modern cuts.

This would make an ideal engagement ring as it’s robust enough for everyday careful wear.

But it would be beautiful, too, as a stand-alone ring or part of a ring stack.
