Rhoda Wager is highly regarded in both Australia and the UK, as she was an accomplished Arts & Crafts jeweller who trained at the Glasgow School of Art and later settled in Sydney.

She usually worked in silver, or silver with gold highlights.

But here is a rare example of a 14-carat gold pin set with amethysts, possibly from the late 1930s.

The back bears her usual mark and indeed the whole piece is typical of her style.

• Handmade in 14-carat yellow gold
• Set with two pear cut natural amethysts
• Approximately 5.9cm (2 1/3 inches) long, 1cm (almost 1/2 inch) at widest point
• Weight is 3.6 grams
• In excellent antique condition – there is a small chip on one amethyst
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (my antique boxes are not for sale)

Please examine the photographs carefully – they form part of the description.
