Ask a question

This nine-carat gold vintage moonstone bracelet is a somewhat unusual survivor, as there seem to be far more old gold moonstone necklaces than bracelets available.

The cabochons have good adularescence, with plenty of blue.

It’s well made too. Each stone is set in a fine bezel, with hinges between each link on the top and bottom rows and rigid joiners between the vertical placements – providing flexibility with strength.

There’s a generous use of gold in the clasp, which is unseen from the front but adds sturdiness to the structure.

This is an imposing piece and, at 7 1/4 inches (18.5cm) long, it has been made to suit a larger wrist.

• Handmade in nine-carat rose gold
• Set with 69 graduated cabochon cut natural Ceylon moonstones in silvery white tones with blue flashes
• Approximately 7 1/4 inches (18.5cm long), 2.7cm (just over 1 inch) wide
• Weight is 33.5 grams
• In excellent vintage condition
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (my antique boxes are not for sale)

Please examine the photographs carefully – they form part of the description.
