These enchanting mid-Victorian enamel earrings make a strong statement, the intense turquoise colour contrasting with the lustrous white pearls and the gleaming 15-carat gold.

They date from about 1880 and the condition is wonderful – the enamel is pristine.

The Etruscan Revival midsection and the gold beaded edges on the top and bottom add extra charm, and I adore the “hidden” hearts in the design.

These once formed a part of my personal collection.
