Ask a question

This richly coloured 15-carat gold Victorian collar from about 1880 has an appealing unusual pattern – wide flat oval links with an arresting open textured zigzag motif that alternate with plain round ones.

The look is antique, but with clean lines that work just as well with contemporary jewellery.

It’s solid, with a satisfying heft, and is long at 19 inches, or 48.3 centimetres.

The large original bolt ring could hold a locket or pendant with a wide top, or multiple smaller charms.
