Late Art Deco diamond solitaire, circa 1945

Could this be your dream engagement ring?
The centre stone is a beautiful large old European brilliant cut diamond of 1.51 carats, G colour and SI2 clarity.
A tapered baguette sits on either side, providing interest with the contrasting shape.
The ring was handcrafted in platinum in about 1945 and its clean lines look as relevant today as when it was created.
That said, to my eye it has an overall lightness and elegance that’s lacking in most contemporary versions.
The diamond was assessed unset by Australia’s leading gem laboratory and comes with a separate certificate.
