It’s so hard to find rings now with untreated sapphires, so I’m pleased to offer this appealing late Art Deco example.

Here the central one-carat oval Ceylon sapphire is bright and lively, with an oval surround of baguette and old brilliant cut diamonds, and two old single cuts adjoining each shoulder.

All the diamonds are good quality – white, bright and well-matched.

And fine-looking yet sturdy handcrafted platinum setting makes it suitable for careful everyday wear.
