Late 19th century black-dot paste pendant in silver, from about 1880

If you look carefully at the central element in this majestic black-dot paste pendant you can see the trophies of love – Cupid’s quiver and a flaming torch topped by a dove.
The shape and elements, the ribbons and the floral sprigs are Rococo, from around the mid-1700s, as is the beautifully worked back.
But the round settings on some of the stones makes me feel this is a late 19th-century rendition of an earlier jewel.
(If any jewellery scholars out there can enlighten me I’d be delighted.)
The large top section is a crown with a fleur-de-lis loop.
This beautiful and large love token would be an asset to any paste collection.
