Ask a question

Björn Weckström, the jeweller, and Bernd Munsteiner, the stone cutter, collaborated during the 1970s to produce brilliant Brutalist jewels for Lapponia in Finland.

This symphony of gold evokes images of the setting sun on ice and rugged rocks for me.

The fantasy cut citrine marries perfectly with the sculpted 14-carat gold ring surround.

There is a chip near the top of the stone. If you zoom in on the first picture you can see it.

I wouldn’t normally buy a piece with a chipped stone but examples of these jewels are so rare that I made an exception.

It helps that the design is elaborate and free form – the eye does not readily read the flaw.

This has been allowed for in the price.
