Ask a question

Here’s a substantial 18-carat yellow gold ring with a woven pattern, unusually hallmarked for Chester 1945, a time when most gold rings would have had gold marks and a maker’s stamp, if any identifying marks at all.

It seems to be a late example of the handcrafted knot and plait rings made in such variety in England in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Great on its own, this would also work well as part of a stack.

• Handmade in 18-carat yellow gold
• Size approximately 6 1/2 or N, but wide band means it will fit a 5 1/2 to 6 (L to M) finger – it could be resized
• Weight is 5.9 grams
• In excellent vintage condition
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (my antique boxes are not for sale)
• Note: some of the other antique and vintage rings are for sale separately (some have sold) – please get in touch if you’d like information about any of them

Please examine the photographs carefully – they form part of the description.

I’d be very happy to send more information and images. Layaway available.
