SOLD: Edwardian sapphire and diamond earrings, circa 1915
$3,752.00
Out of stock
These charming Edwardian earrings feature sapphires of an intense cornflower blue, with a zing that makes me think they are from Yogo in Montana.
(It would be great if some of my more informed American friends can tell me if I’m on the right track.)
The pretty triangular drops remind me of fanned peacock tails.
Similar sapphires are sometimes seen combined with pearls in simple bar brooches and pendants.
But they are hard to find in earrings, particularly combined with diamonds – and in such an imaginative way.
