Here’s a very sweet yet affordable handcrafted Edwardian diamond ring.

The round diamonds are single cuts, which are also known as eight cuts – in reference to the number of top facets.

They became popular as an alternative to small rose cut diamonds in early 20th century jewellery, owing to their greater brilliance.

I love the scalloped design and the lightness created by separating the diamonds from their border.

Yet this is a sturdy ring with solid sides and secure bezel set diamonds, making it suitable for careful everyday wear.
