Edwardian emerald and diamond ring, circa 1910
$8,040.00

Vibrant Colombian emeralds in antique rings are a favourite of mine, so I was delighted to find this lovely Edwardian example surrounded by good old mine cut diamonds.
There is a pleasing plumpness to the 18-carat gold setting, reminiscent of the Victorian period.
But the use of platinum around the diamonds places it firmly in the early 20th century, as does the strong vertical axis of the shape.
