Ask a question

Vibrant Colombian emeralds in antique rings are a favourite of mine, so I was delighted to find this lovely Edwardian example surrounded by good old mine cut diamonds.

There is a pleasing plumpness to the 18-carat gold setting, reminiscent of the Victorian period.

But the use of platinum around the diamonds places it firmly in the early 20th century, as does the strong vertical axis of the shape.

• Handmade in 18-carat yellow gold and platinum
• Elongated oval cut Colombian emerald estimated at 0.90 carats
• 13 old mine cut diamonds estimated to total 0.75 carats, graded set as H-K/SI
• Comes with an independent insurance valuation for $15,750
• Size approximately 5 1/2 or K 1/2, but easily resized free of charge
• Weight is 4.1 grams
• In excellent antique condition
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (my antique boxes are not for sale)
• Note: some of the other antique and vintage rings are for sale separately – please get in touch if you’d like information about any of them
