This smart antique 18-carat gold two-row ring looks almost modern but the scrolled engraved shoulders and old mine cut diamonds date it to the early years of the 20th century.

The slightly domed top and the cut-out edges add to its appeal, as do the lively white well-matched diamonds.

Lovely on its own or as a stacking ring, it could be worn every day as the stones are low set and a substantial amount of gold surrounds them.
