This appealing ring from about 1930 features a very good early modern brilliant cut of about 70 points, set in a woven band of pave set sparkling old single cut diamonds.

The top has been finely saw pierced, bringing definition and lightness to the design, emphasised by the millegrained edges.

The sides have a gapped gallery that brings more space into the setting.

It’s a ring suitable for careful everyday wear, due to the low bead setting of the smaller stones and the protected setting of the central diamond, which is well within the outer margins of the band.

And the overall setting is generous in the amount of gold used, despite the fine appearance overall.

It would look great on its own but equally so as part of an imaginative ring stack, due to the straight sides.
