SOLD: Arts and Crafts Gaskin brooch with opals, tourmalines and blister pearls, circa 1900
$3,015.00
Out of stock
Arthur and Georgie Gaskin were leading lights of the English Arts and Crafts Movement, which began at the end of the 19th century.
As each of their pieces was meticulously handcrafted, not many were produced – and few survive.
This delightful example, instantly recognisable from both front and back, was made in about 1900.
It features opals, pink tourmalines and blister pearls, and is signed.
The condition is wonderful, with just one small chip on one of the tourmalines.
This is a true rarity.
