A square bezel holds the central round old European cut diamond in a low bead setting.

The rectangular stepped shoulders, reminiscent of ziggurats, are similarly bead set.

Fine millegraining features throughout, a charming refinement.

Handcrafted from 18-carat white gold and platinum (white gold was used from the 1920s in jewellery), the platinum top enables the construction of a strong, delicate setting with the gold providing a tougher band.

The gapped side setting is typical too, adding lightness in appearance to a fairly robust ring, which is suitable for careful everyday wear.
