Here’s an Art Deco diamond and platinum ring with an east-west setting. This style is seen in rings from the later part of the Deco period.

The ring shapes of the 1920s still echoed their Edwardian antecedents, with north-south designs. They were long and thin, rather than short and broad like this one.

The tapered sides of this style will suit a wider finger.

The main, emerald-cut stone sits in an attractive boat-shaped arrangement of baguette and round cut diamonds.

And the platinum setting is millegrained and prettily pierced.
