SOLD: Art Deco amethyst and diamond ring, circa 1940
$2,613.00
Out of stock
Good amethyst and diamond rings are not common, so I’m delighted to offer this appealing Art Deco example.
The deep purple multifaceted oval amethyst weighs about 3 1/2 carats and has lovely red flashes from its sides.
Tiny old single cut diamonds are set close together on each V-shaped shoulder.
Handcrafted in 18-carat white gold in about 1940, the pierced mount adds lightness to the sturdy design, as does the delicate millegrain setting for the diamonds.
