SOLD: Victorian wide sterling silver bracelet, circa 1875
$603.00

Mid-Victorian jewellery, from about 1860 to 1880, was frequently large and bold. If you are drawn to this look, silver jewellery can be a rewarding area to collect in.
The relatively low cost of manufacture meant jewellers could be more generous in scale, as in this bracelet.Â
It’s hard to find such a splendid one as this, nevertheless. The clasp is delightful, with its hand-engraved flowers and foliage.Â
It’s generous in length too – plus for those of you who get frustrated by the often small sizes of 19th century bracelets
