This lovely sapphire and diamond ring is fully hallmarked for 1898.

A bright royal blue unheated oval sapphire is flanked by a good old cut round diamond on each side.

Tapered carved shoulders blend into the surrounding thick gold band.

This would make a great alternative engagement ring, as it will sit well against a wedding band.

But it works beautifully worn on its own too, or perhaps as a stacker for those of you with long fingers.
