SOLD: Victorian opal and diamond ring, circa 1890s
$4,020.00
Out of stock
A particularly fiery opal features in this marquise-shaped ring from the 1890s. It show lots of red, pink and orange, along with all colours of the rainbow.
It’s framed by similarly dazzling old cut diamonds, and set in 18-carat yellow gold.
This a late Victorian beauty. There is a pleasing plumpness to all the components which come together in a harmonious whole, typical of the thoughtful artisanship of the time.
