Antique Victorian lover’s knot gold ring with dangling heart, 15-carat bloomed gold
1 in stock
An early Victorian lover’s knot ring with a dangling heart, English-made in 15-carat yellow gold.
This piece can’t be resized, as there is engraving all the way around the band and any work would destroy the bloomed gold finish. (The soft matte appearance was created by dipping this delicate jewel into boiling acid, which burnt away the surface alloys and simulated the look of 24-carat gold.)
This ring has miraculously survived in near-new condition – I don’t buy these types of 19th-century rings unless the condition is exceptional.
(The turquoise and seed pearl ring is for sale separately. Please send me a message if you’d like to know more.)
