Ask a question

This petite late Victorian amethyst and pearl brooch punches above its weight (and size) because all the elements are of such good quality.

The amethyst is a rich purple with flashes of red in artificial light. It takes on an overall bright pinkish hue in daylight.

The creamy white pearls are pristine, lustrous and matched.

A scalloped, millegrained border in 15-carat yellow gold provides the perfect finish.

• Handmade in 15-carat yellow gold
• Deep purple amethyst surrounded by 24 natural pearls
• Approximately 1.47cm (just over 1/2 inch) tall, 1.8cm (nearly 3/4 inch) wide
• Weight is 2.7 grams
• In excellent antique condition
• Will come in a Karen Deakin gift box (the antique box is not for sale)
• Note: the other antique brooch is for sale separately – please get in touch if you’d like information about it
