Here’s a beautiful 15-carat gold antique watch chain.

This link is more often seen in guard chains. Here it makes a feminine statement in contrast to the stronger, plainer links normally seen in alberts.

Marked 15C on the centre ring, it is almost certainly Australian. Only England and its colonies used 15-carat gold as a standard.

The length is a very generous 21 1/2 inches, or 55cm. And the T-bar with the engraved central section is a rare survivor.

This chain looks wonderful worn alone or will layer well with others. I love its bright, buttery colour. I was delighted to find it.
