Antique silver gilt and red paste chandelier earrings, late 19th century
$1,139.00
1 in stock
These large and spectacular silver gilt earrings from the 19th century have a delightful flowing bow design, accented with red square pastes in round pie-crust settings.
Probably made in the Iberian peninsula, jewels like this are difficult to date exactly. The quality of the engraving and construction, the light weight and even the use of silver gilt all point to antique workmanship.
The screw fittings, which are probably not original, could be converted for pierced ears.
There are 10 components in each earring and all are separately articulated – giving marvellous movement when worn.
