Ask a question

These Victorian cut steel and porcelain angel earrings tick so many boxes for me.

The panels have been well painted and remain unrubbed.

The cut steel surrounds are very fine.

The proportions are appealing, with a generously sized top section as well as the larger hanging drop.

And a thin slice of mother-of-pearl covers each back, so they look lovely from all angles.

I’m not entirely sure if the winged figures are cherubim or angels, but either way this is a highly collectable and hard-to-find pair of 19th century earrings.
