Paste perfection! This glorious late Victorian necklace, in its original English box, is in the Georgian Revival style, harking back to the fashions of 100 years earlier.

Set with blue glass and clear pastes, it echoes the diamond jewels worn by the rich and powerful of the late 18th century.

The clear pastes are the old brilliant cuts of the late 19th century, making it easy to identify as a revival piece.

Many of us would love to own a diamond version of this. But I find this almost more appealing, as it’s still a fine collector’s piece yet wearable, without feeling over the top – it could dress up a dinner date, for example.

It’s wonderfully preserved, protected by the original box, and all the pastes are still white. They could easily be mistaken for diamonds.
