I couldn’t resist the appealing gaze of this adorable English springer spaniel.

I found him in London’s Portobello Road and brought him home to Sydney. I wonder if he’ll be adopted locally?

This is a top-quality reverse crystal intaglio – otherwise known as an Essex crystal. It’s deeply carved and there is no sign of oxidisation.

The simple, high-carat gold brooch setting is pleasing too. And it’s a good size.

Karen's shop has been such a delightful find! It can be hard to find a good antique jewellery shop and some can be very unapproachable. Karen's shop is the opposite! Karen is very welcoming, warm and trustworthy. When you buy something from her shop, you can trust that it is an antique which is not always the case from other sellers in my experience. I have purchased two gorgeous lockets from her which I treasure. Every time I visit, (dangerously) there is always something that catches my eye! If only I could visit more often!
