Long gold chains were the height of fashion in the Edwardian period, retaining their popularity from most of the 19th century.

This delicate rose gold example has three short curb links alternating with one long one, not a pattern you commonly see.

You could hang favourite small treasures from it, despite its fineness, as it’s in wonderful condition.
