SOLD: Edwardian natural pearl and diamond pendant
$1,273.00
Out of stock
This quiet Edwardian beauty is exquisitely made. I love the back as much as the front, as it reveals such finesse of workmanship.
Hours must have been spent just in the fine polishing of each delicate edge.
Pearls and diamonds were frequently paired with the newly available platinum in the early years of the 20th century – the all-white look being the latest fashion.
This example has a gold backing, as was used before all-platinum settings became more standard. The seamless join between the two metals is yet another pleasing detail.
And the natural pearls are perfectly matched: they have a lovely lustre.
