Ask a question

Here’s an Edwardian pair of earrings, probably made from a single cufflink.

The 15-carat gold is bloomed, giving it a pleasing matte finish.

This is an example of conversion jewellery that has mined the past to produce something wearable today. When a cufflink is damaged or lost, creating stud earrings from the survivor is a great idea.

The gold buttons are an ideal shape for earrings, having a flat top and rounded edges. The parallel lines engraved on the top add a restrained, elegant touch.
