This stylish Retro diamond ring makes a bold statement. Thick round bands of yellow gold and platinum surround the central platinum-set motif holding just over a carat of old cut diamonds.

Made around the time of the Second World War or just after, jewels like this were a radical departure from the prevailing Art Deco style.

Round lush three-dimensional lines and lavish use of gold took over from the flat white straight lines of the preceding decades.

I love this ring from all angles. When looked at side on you can see the two separate sections of gold and platinum harmoniously merging.
