SOLD: Sterling silver pendant with Essex crystal horse and horseshoes, circa 1920

Here’s a fun Essex crystal and sterling silver large pendant/fob from about 1920. It’s a great piece for all you horse lovers!

The reverse crystal intaglio is well carved and coloured, and it’s not oxidised. While it’s not as fine as Victorian examples, the price reflects this.

I love the large size – it’s nearly two inches high – and the equestrian motifs arranged around the centrepiece.

Karen's shop has been such a delightful find! It can be hard to find a good antique jewellery shop and some can be very unapproachable. Karen's shop is the opposite! Karen is very welcoming, warm and trustworthy. When you buy something from her shop, you can trust that it is an antique which is not always the case from other sellers in my experience. I have purchased two gorgeous lockets from her which I treasure. Every time I visit, (dangerously) there is always something that catches my eye! If only I could visit more often!
